Are you ready to have some fun while promoting dental health awareness? Penrith Dentists is excited to announce our Colouring in Competition for Dental Health Week, starting from 7 August! This engaging campaign, brought to you by the Australian Dental Association (ADA), focuses on the significance of maintaining good oral health to preserve your beautiful smile for life.
Dental Health Week is a major annual oral health initiative organised by the Australian Dental Association (ADA), held in the first full week of August each year. This year, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on the mouth and whole-body connection. Did you know that there are significant links between diseases in the mouth and overall health? Harmful bacteria from the mouth can travel to other parts of the body, and mouth inflammation can contribute to increased systemic inflammation. The campaign explores six conditions that are closely connected to oral health:
The ADA’s primary oral health message for Dental Health Week is simple yet profound. Just like you don’t expect to lose an arm or a leg, it shouldn’t be considered normal to lose teeth due to tooth decay or gum disease. We encourage all Australians to aim at keeping their natural teeth for a lifetime.
